Downtown Flower Barrels

Keep Mansfield Beautiful’s flower barrel program adds color and beauty to our downtown district. Launched in the spring of 2010, this program places whiskey barrels, each planted with a matching variety of colorful annual flowers, along the sidewalks of Main Street. In September, we plant fresh mums for the fall season.

How Does the Flower Barrel Program Work?

Keep Mansfield Beautiful makes it easy for business owners to beautify their properties. We provide the barrels, flowers, and labor. When you sponsor a flower barrel, you receive fully planted barrels delivered to your business in the spring. In the fall, we plant fresh mums. All we ask of you is to provide regular watering and weeding, as well as winter storage of the barrels.

What Does it Cost to Participate?

The cost is $50 per barrel, $85 for two. This covers the cost of the barrel, loam, flowers, and delivery of fully planted barrels to your business. You also receive a fresh planting of mums in the fall for no extra charge.
